Tadpole And Bajai Partner To Add Secure Image Recognition Technology To Tadpole's Plug-in Enterprise Appliances
At NetworldSM+Interop®, Tadpole Will Unveil a New All-in-One SPARC/Solaris 8 Based Appliance Pre-configured With Bajai"s Secure Email and Proxy Server Filtering Technology
CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 6, 2002--
Tadpole (LSE:TAD) today announced that Bajai Inc. of Ottawa has
joined the Tadpole Appliance Program (TAP) enabling enterprises to
acquire Tadpole"s plug-in appliances pre-configured with Bajai"s
image-based technology for email and proxy server content filtering.
TAP is a select open network initiative for the Sun computing
world. It provides enterprises with access to a broad range of
software solutions, all pre-configured into Tadpole"s appliances at
its Carlsbad manufacturing plant. Tadpole will unveil a new series of
these pre-configured appliances at Networld+InterOp in Las Vegas.
Alongside Bajai, other solutions include those from Nexor, Stonesoft,
Tarantella, TrustWorks and ValiCert.
The prime benefit of a pre-configured appliance is that it
eliminates the need for costly set-up, reduces configuration time at
the user-end and is virtually plug-and-play. The end-user enjoys
unparalleled convenience and ease of use, and at the same time has the
guarantee that the software solutions are 100 percent compatible with
the appliance. These one-step solutions satisfy the network
infrastructure and software requirements of customers, and shorten and
simplify the sales cycle of resellers.
Graham Brown, president of Tadpole"s hardware businesses,
commented: "Tadpole and TAP members have the ability to accelerate the
move towards integrated appliance technology and to deliver one user
interface for all inbuilt applications. This will enable resource
sharing and one-step customization of all software settings and make
available unified reporting and monitoring functionality. In turn,
this will simplify user maintenance, reduce system administration,
minimize system requirements and optimize system performance."
Tadpole will showcase the advanced capabilities of Bajai"s
integrated ProxEye(TM) and EyeMail(TM) offerings embedded in its
appliances at booth #1565 at Networld+InterOp. Bajai"s technologies
are fast gaining recognition within the industry as among the most
technically advanced content filtering on today"s market. Their image
recognition capability, automated list generation based on artificial
intelligence algorithms, and protection from email leaks of
intellectual property through Steganograpghic Sanitization(TM) are
capabilities needed across the industry, and provide the highest level
of security.
William Smart, director of sales and marketing for Bajai added,
"We believe that integrated appliances will quickly become the
standard by which organizations manage and operate their IT services.
Interoperability is the most important factor for deploying software
in an appliance, and that is exactly what makes Bajai software ideal
for Tadpole"s vision of the future."
